NASA debunks triangular UFO

NASA has debunked the idea that a triangular shape on a STEREO-B spacecraft image is an alien ship.
The image shows the inner solar system as seen by one of two probes parked on either side of the Sun. "Comparing it for size to the planetary objects that are seen in this telescope, if my calculations are correct, that thing is enormous," said one Youtube user who like several others believes that the object is something otherwordly. "At the same time as this strange-looking feature starts being visible, the very bright planet Venus enters the [telescopic camera's] field-of-view from the lower left," said a NASA scientist. "The strange-looking geometrical 'object' is actually an internal reflection of the planet Venus within the telescope optics. This effect has been seen many times before."
Once again, alien conspiracy theorists have attempted to use publicly available NASA images to prove that the space agency must be engaging in an elaborate UFO cover-up. And, once again, they've been foiled by the laws of physics.

There are thousands of amateur astronomers that would pick up on such objects. It would be impossible to cover it up.Now something like Hubble or Spitzer imaging distant Dyson Spheres or Star system spanning intelligences, now that would be a bit easier to cover up, though again, I can't see why they would bother. ^^this We have amateurs discovering planets. There are more of us watching the skies than there are government entities. NASA may have higher tech, but they also have dramatically less man hours. besides a discovery like that would likely put NASA back up high in the financial priori... [More]

There have been a few sightings of these huge triangular vehicles over the years, the best being the Phoenix lights. They do exist but there's no evidence that they are extraterrestrial, more likely they are made by the US at Area 51 or some similar base. I read another report where a farmer started shooting at one of these triangular ships, a hatch opened on the underside, some guy in uniform leaned down yelling at him "in English" to stop shooting at their ship. Too often we jump to the "extraterrestrial" conclusion when we see one of these ships. We forget that the US military has been work... [More]

The evidence to back up such claims, as in this case, does not exist. Anti-Gravidic, eh? So the US military has been working on "not taking place during pregnancy" super-luminal vehicles? I assume that's because they've already developed super-luminal vehicles that take place during pregnancy, huh? Hope they're given a wide berth. ...sorry..I couldn't help myself

Government attempts to adapt alien technology for contraceptive purposes aside, the whole point of the OP was how some people made a claim and presented evidence which was investigated and which led to a completely different conclusion. That is the way investigations should go. To go into a thread where such a thing is posted and still make a declarative statement like "They do exist!", and follow it up with a very weak supporting statement such as "Everyone knows..." is not going to lend the subject any credibility. If anything, it is going to damage the little credibility it garnered from ac... [More]

There have been a few sightings of these huge triangular vehicles over the years, the best being the Phoenix lights. We talked about that case in depth on the current "Best evidence" thread that is still on the 1st forum page here. On that thread we could show the 10 pm event was "flares".

Are we talking about the Doritos again ? Actually, I was thinking of the Flying Spaghetti Monster's followers, the herd of flying pizza slices and one was lead astray by that really big bright yellow thingie.

Im pretty sure a few years ago there were many sightings in Pa, probably all over though. I have actually seen what appears to be a triangular ufo twice - both with several other people in eastern Pa. I remember a friend showed me a site with all the local reports days later. It surely wasnt this phenomena it seemed so low and literally huverred as if watching us before zipping off up and out. The 2nd time we followed it in our car for several minutes watching it very clearly. Surely a triangular "aircraft". Anyway I never cared much I guess because I knew it was government craft. *SNIP*
