Poltergeist activity caught on shop CCTV ?

A video has surfaced on the Internet that appears to show items in a shop moving by themselves.

Believed to have been filmed at a Whitstable Nutrition Centre in Kent, the video shows CCTV footage of a man browsing the aisles when a box of teabags on the shelf behind him begins to move on its own before hovering in the air for several seconds. The voices behind the camera suggest that a staff member is showing the video to a female friend who seems genuinely impressed by what she's seeing.

Since appearing on YouTube the video has received around 10,000 views and is beginning to circulate on social media sites. Does the footage represent evidence of paranormal activity or could there be a more conventional explanation ?

"A remarkable video which appears to show a poltergeist in a Whitstable shop is proving an internet sensation."

Maybe I have an untrained eye (and/or mind!) but that makes me wonder if anything is watching me. In my office.... while I am alone. *looks over shoulder*

again, red tea box floats out yet it had no shadow like the other products, no one see this? Hmm, how do you mean no shadow? there is a diffuse shadow that falls on the vertical face of the shelf as it passes.

looking at it closely now has actually made it more interesting to me. The box matches the lighting of the scene- which is above, but seems to be strongest coming from somewhere towards the camera. Its shadow moves across the face of the shelves in an angle away from us as it should, and when the box flips, you can see its faces catching the light from the right direction. Of course, a decent cgi guy only needs to look at the scene, see the direction of the light, and stick in his light source accordingly. And considering it does look cgi to me- something isn't quite right in the light levels ... [More]

I realize this is a bit of a Necropost... But while wandering around looking for something else, I came across this interesting link: http://doubtfulnews.com/2013/12/haunted-whitstable-shop-exposed-as-tv-hoax/ Apparently the OP video is a clip from a very underwatched and quickly canceled TV show. I wanted to share this information now when I came across it for when the video pops up sometime in the future here on UM

Yeah, it's from 'The Happenings'. The Bristol harbour glowing sea creature video was also a viral ad for this programme. I thought it was an interesting watch. Some of their magic tricks were pretty good.
