UM-Bot Posted September 3, 2005 #1 Share Posted September 3, 2005 Steven Lacey: Something very odd happened in the early mourning hours of February 25, 1942. An aircraft flew over LA County that sparked an air raid alert. Searchlights and Guns were locked onto the aircraft for about a an hour. That alert was unlike any other. We,ve all seen the images of the military action in Iraq. Pictures of batteries of antiaircraft guns firing in what look like random patterns are familiar to most of us. Dr_Strangelove Posted September 3, 2005 #4 Share Posted September 3, 2005 No... it was a specially re-enforced weather balloon. 824581 I believe this odd little incident was part of the basis for the movie '1942'. The one with John Belushi as the Japanese pilot of a floatplane launched off a submarine. Now the Japanese did have the I-400 submarine and for a brief amount of time they did patrol off the west coast but I'm not sure they launched any flights over the mainland that exhibited this sort of activity. Some people could argue that our anti-aircraft guns of that time were not all that effective. We still had not developed the proximity shells of later in the war. They also didn't have that many gun batteries for concentrated barrages at the time. That early in the war the best source of weapons in California turned out to be Hollywood! The movie studios had more weapons than the military had there at the time. Still the description of the incident does beg a lot of questions. This is only one interesting area of wartime secrecy that still remains largely unquestioned and unanswered.

Steven Lacey 825453 Okay, tell us why you think this is the best evidence You've seen that UFOs are not of this earth? 825854 Well, part of it is in the story. This object had to have been hit by a lot of those shells that they were firing on it. That definitely suggests that whatever it was wasn't conventional technology at the time. Like I said, if the Japanese had technology that could withstand that much and not be shot down then the war would have gone very differently. The rest comes from the picture itself. It was published in A NEWSPAPER. Considering the day, that's a pretty credible source. The picture wasn't too clear until modern technology allowed me to clear it up. There had been other attempts to enhance the picture, but I guess no one managed to get it quite as good as I did. Other people adjusted the brightness and the contrast, but I adjusted them using the levels controls in Adobe PhotoShop. That allowed me to bring out the mid tones better than if I had simply used the standard brightness and contrast tools available through a less capable photo editor. Since that picture CLEARLY SHOWS something that HADN'T been seen before I enhanced it I have a special feeling about it. I found something THAT LOOKS LIKE a classic UFO in a picture that had been around since 1942. That was BEFORE Roswell. That was BEFORE any of the current interest in UFO's was around. The likelihood that the photo was faked is VERY VERY slim. If you think that my enhancement is suspicious then TRY IT YOURSELF. Get the photo from the ORIGINAL posting of it on the Rense site. All you have to do is Google for it. I used PhotoShop, but I did manage to get results that show enough of what I found using other software. Try the Microsoft Imaging program that comes standard with Windows. You should be able to clean it up enough to be able to trust what you see in my enhancement. The facts of the incident point to an OTHER WORLDLY explanation. The craft WAS THERE. Our defense forces WEREN'T shooting at a hallucination. The thing traveled SLOWLY AND SILENTLY along without dropping any bombs and without firing back as our military tried VERY HARD to knock it out of the sky. Imagine yourself as one of the guys manning the guns. It's only a few months after Pearl Harbor. IT'S YOUR JOB to defend your nation. Aren't you going to TRY LIKE HELL to knock whatever it is that is flying over YOUR HOME TOWN out of the sky? Imagine HOW UPSET you would be that THIS THING DIDN'T FALL? I bet those guys THREW EVERYTHING THEY COULD at that craft. Afterwards the Government didn't say much. Read the other articles that I linked to. Even back then there were people WHO SMELLED A COVERUP. I've been convinced that our Government knows A LOT more than it is telling us about UFO's for a long time. I WAS ALREADY A BELIEVER when I did the enhancement to that picture. I said that the picture is THE BEST EVIDENCE I have seen because NO ONE showed me that there was something in the picture that NO ONE had seen since 1942. FINDING IT FOR MYSELF makes it the BEST EVIDENCE I have ever seen.

ImAnAlienWa8iD Posted September 5, 2005 #14 Share Posted September 5, 2005 Why havent we seen and heard much of this stuff in the many UFOmentaries ? This event, if it is a genuine historical occurrence, should be bigger than the Roswell crapola. Anything and everything rense picks up I think is stinking rubbish, some people follow this stuff like brainwashed cult members.
