Pyramid found in the heart of Bosnia

Near the city of Visoko, 30 km north of Sarajevo, there is a stone pyramid of monumental size, claims the Bosnian archeologist Semir Osmanagic, who lives and works in the USA. After several months of geological and archeological research, Mr Osmanagic concluded that under the present hill of Visocica hides a stairs-like pyramid, about 12,000 years old.

I doubt there were many people living there 27,000 years ago - the height of the last Glacial Maximum.

And it looks awfully like a natural hill to me.

My guess is that there are archaeological remains on the hill, and they it date to maybe 5,000 years ago or so at most.

I wil treat such claim very carefully. Can bo an hoax, simplea wrong calculation, but what if its a pyramid? Another thing is to make a certain reading of the suposed "pyramid" age.

Is this the only photo? From this perspective is looks like a natural hill.

That hill doesn't look natural, the angle of slope and the uniformity of the sides are reminiscent of a geometric prism... a pryamid with a flat top... very similar to those found in the americas...

this picture reminds me of the pyramids theyve found in china, personally I think the history of man on earth goes further back than science alows for today... and the sphinx may be nearly that old...

my vote goes for an unnatural hill, looks like it could be a pyramid which has naturally been covered by stuff. 12,000 y.o? I dunno, that would totally revolutionize the late pre-history of society. thats a rather large claim for the fact that they haven't actually proven it is a pyramid. Definitely want more info and pics as they come available.

A little research goes a long way, following the source on these things usually digs up better pics but for those of you who can't be bothered I've done it for you

since it is so old time has covered it in dirt and now trees are growing on it

that would mean the items inside are preserved if the info turns out to be true, this could really do damage to wut we know now

Ifit is real, and as old as they claim... it would look more natural..just like that.. covered in trees and grass.. and even slightly disfigured by time.

Im curious as to wether anyone gets into it..or.. got into it.. so see theinside.. if there is one..

Osmanagic, who intensively researched on pyramids in Americas, Asia and Africa for the last 15 years and wrote several books on the subject, says he's quite sure he found the first pyramid in Europe, which is quite similar to ones in the Southern America.He believes that the project would completely change Bosnia's significance in the world of archeology.On the top of "Bosnian pyramid of Sun" was a temple, built by pre-Illyrians, people who lived, according to Osmanagic, 27,000 years ago.Mr. Osmanagic thinks he will solve the "Bosnian pyramid of Sun" in the next five years, but also prove the existence of "Bosnian pyramid of Moon", lying under the neighboring hill of Križ?.

According to BBC, the leading Bosnian newspaper "Dnevni Avaz" writes:"The pyramid is 100 metres high and there is evidence that it contains rooms and a monumental causeway ... The plateau is built of stone blocks, which indicates the presence at the time of a highly developed civilisation," the daily explains."Archaeological excavations near the surface have uncovered a part of a wall and fragments of steps," it reveals."Visocica hill could not have been shaped like this by nature," geologist Nada Nukic tells the daily. "This is already far too more than we have anticipated, but we expect a lot more from further analysis," she concludes.

I will not jump to assumptions and criticise this new find be what they suspect it is...then it would be quite an amazing find, awhile those interested follow-up on what there excavations and site mappings reveal to the world?!
