Scientists have discovered a "microworld" of 220-million-year-old life trapped in tiny drops of ancient amber. The fossilized plant resin preserved bacteria, fungi, algae, and microscopic animals known as protozoans some 220 million years ago—the era when the very first dinosaurs began to appear.

Surprisingly, these microscopic organisms look quite familiar to today's scientists.

That's just a photo of amber posted by Saruman, it doesn't have any relevance to the topic.

Interesting find.

This is truly like Jurassic Park!

The amber part may be a match, but we won't be ressurecting dinos and other critters in the near future.

Every time I see an amber image like that I remember "Jurassic Park" . It's fascinating how Earths history is captured in such material. We find bones of dinosaurs and imagine what the world was like back then, we discover germs captured in amber, carried by what today would be called a "common" ____________< whatever, and somehow , as we evolve our sciences , we'll be able to learn so much about what that world, those pictures, were like back in the real Jurassic era. Like little time capsules all over the place, just waiting for us to progress enough we can actually find them and take a look back at where we've been. Ewww I love this stuff, so much. Thank you for the post.
