Which is correct - math or maths ?



For years, there has been some confusion over the shorthand of the word 'mathematics'.

Some perhaps useless knowledge: In Swedish, mathematics is "matematik", and the short form of that is "matte". The word "matte" can also mean a woman who owns a pet, then she is the pet's "matte", the male equivalent is "husse".

Tbh as vulgar as this may sound I honestly couldn't give a fk as to what people choose to call it. If Bush can create a word like Misunderestimate then I'm sure people will continue for many centuries to come debate over how words ought to be. It's one of those things that are simply not worth paying heed to because rules or no rules humans will do whatever the fk they want to do.
