Turning plastic bags in to fuel

Diesel fuel is now known to cause greater emissions of the air pollutant, nitrogen oxide, than was previously thought.

All fossil fuels are pollutants, and there is still large demand for diesel fuel unfortunately. Like the video shows at least this process eliminates the invasive extraction methods for diesel and reverts existing plastic back into fuel.Every bit of plastic that has been produced and not incinerated still exists and is also very harmful to our enviorment. The implictions probably not fully realized yet

Really the final goal needs to be the elimination of fossil fuels and finding substitutes for plastic

Plastik bags are a pest anyway and to turn them in to fuel after use require a circulation system and such system can never operate near to a 100% rate, even not at a 50% rate. And, there is nothing for free and nothing can be refurbished in a way that the 100% of oil connected to the plastic bag can be harvested again. Just some figures: in my home country the use of plastic bags per year was at 6.1 billion units, thats 11.700 per minute. But fortunately there has been a new EU regulation established this year that plastic bags are not allowed anymore to be given to customers for free, so it must be payed for and that will reduce the use at an essential value.

Here as well. There is a nominal fee (~$0.15) per plastic bag at checkout to encourage bringing your own containers. I think it's slowly working

Edit to add--

I always feel guilty after the groceries are put away and I'm left with 6 or 7 plastic bags. I have more than enough bags stashed under the sink but I have no idea what to do with the constant stream of new bags coming in. Too bad there isn't a plastic bag recycle bin I could fill

Its just a bad social habit that needs to be changed, its not really something that great of a adjustment either ... but as far as things goes, its still slowly but surely for the better ...
