Uploader comment: Thick, dark plumes of smoke rose from two oil production and storage facilities in Libya on January 7, 2016. The Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) aboard NASA’s Terra satellite captured this true-color image at 9:35 Universal time (11:35 am local time) on that same day.
