This is a mistake. If you look closely, you see an other face behind the ghost! 2 people killed?:_D

probably just a hallway behind where the pictures were being taken, people walking by behind them. or somebody stepped out of place.

actually i have seen this pic on t.v. and the net before, the face is a match for the man it mentions and the film has been checked on numerous occasions no alterations to be found and no photographic anomolies (double exposure, etc.) to be seen, I think it is real

This intriguing photo, taken in 1919, was first published in 1975 by Sir Victor Goddard, a retired R.A.F. officer. The photo is a group portrait of Goddard's squadron, which had served in World War I aboard the HMS Daedalus. It is said to be the face of Freddy Jackson, an air mechanic wwho had been accidentally killed by an airplane propeller two days earlier. His funeral had taken place on the day this photograph was snapped. Members of the squadron easily recognized the face as Jackson's.

i KNOW it's real. not because of anything that was said. but because the year was 1919.

but why is only part of his face showing up, or why isnt there a body to it... and it may have been 1919 but now its 2004 and people can still edit old images.

Yeah, I had heard that people looked at it as if he was there. Not like "oh my, look its a ghost!" Even had his name at the bottem and everything. Really cool picture.

To Yesturdays Dirt: I don't think you can see his body or the other part of his head because the man is infront of the 'ghost'. If you lok properly near the bottom right you can actually the shoulders. I think it's real! Does anyone know which person it is in the group photo? I think it's the 4th from the left at the top, you can sort of see the ghost behind it.
