looks like a water based reflection, or light filtered through some sor of glass or crystal, bu i'm going to stick with the water theory

Cigarette smoke perhaps? Look at the way it is rising and twisting like ciggie smoke!

Did she see it and snap a pic or was she just taking pictures of odd areas of the house, which would make sense if cold spots were felt or weird feelings associated with this area of the room.

why were you taking a picture of the wall did you see this and then take a picture or did you just see it after the picture was taken?

i got bored one day and took pictures of my house and i got the same thing in my camera after some trial and error i took down the near by pictures and turned off the light and it went away. i put everything back up and the light back on and got it again. its a reflection off a window or picture on the wall. like i said i caught the same thing almost identical to this but i could recreate it

looks like light reflecting off the can on the bed, more direct on the bottom of the can to make the reflection on the wall

This is SIMPLE. This is actually from the framed photo in the picture. The light coming from the flash onto the plastic not glass framed poster. It is not an anomaly or supernatural it is from the light of the flash hitting the plastic from the frame and when light hits any type of shiny surface such as plastic it forms these types of lighting. Check the properties of the photo try to re enact everything from position to timming and take at least 10 more photos of this area.
