Uploader comment: My mother died in a car accident in 1989 and I took this photo in our old house back in Wisconsin. (It's a closeup of another photo, which I will upload soon.) Anyway, in the center, it looks like a face with glasses atop the painting. Now, it could be a reflection of the camera lens, but I'm not sure and I don't have the negative to verify. Anyway, just thought I'd share it.

I have tried and tried but no face appears to me. This rather negates the staring at clouds and see faces arguement. Wait I think I see an elephant. Apologies to your mum, the trunk runs up from above the ribbon.

..........ACTUALLY I DO SEE SOMETHING SORT OF HUMAN LOOKING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PHOTO(BUT IT LOOKS ABNORMAL, A THIN FACED SOMETHING?....BUT MOST REMARKABLY IS THE SLIM FACED FIGURE, ON THE RIGHT, STANDING NEAR WHAT APPEARS TO BE A WOODEN FENCE.......

Your flash bounced off that painting/frame causing an illusion of an image being there.

it's a little something called "the matrix effect"...kind os like chrismia was saying...your mind will create images in things like clouds or tree branches etc...to expirement do this...go outside & look at the trees....how many crosses can you make out in the tree or how many images appear from the leaves and branches? If you took the picture shortly after your mothers death (my condolences)you mind may have already been on her so it would be only natural for you mind to make out a face perhaps similar to your mothers....
