This is most likely light leaking through the back of the camera. You see it a lot when you use old, or purposely made (to get this kind of random effect) cameras

that sounds more likely then a camera strap. i don't know what kind of camera was used though.

holy crap! doesn't anyone notice that woman has no face! I peed myself having to sit on santa's lap at that age a lady with no face would've done me in!

I have a few images that were from the early seventies and they too have lines of colour but I think they are yellow. It should say what year this image was taken and with what on the back of the photo itself. Also I see an image of a man. Had your Grandfather or Uncle passed, around the time this image was taken? It is strange, as for light leaking through the back of the camera, im not sure! Very interesting, love to hear others feedback.
