Uploader comment: This pic was taken on the second day of the 1998 Québec (Canada) great ice storm, this pic gives an idea of the amount of freezing rain that fell on that disastrous week, it took really until spring for the province to recover, whem this pic was taken the cover of ice on the car reached more than two inches, by the end of the week it was covered with more than eight inches of ice, the car could not be moved until May because it was trapped in ice, we were one month without any electrical power in our home because the power lines had been destroyed, trees fel down from the weight of ice, worst disaster encoutered by Québec ever, you can still see the effect on some trees today, never underestimate the powers of nature...

Yeah the car started good, but the wheels were stuck in over 10 inches of ice....it is rear wheel drive and the wheels would'nt even turn...you would have burned the clutch before it would move, in May we had to break the ice with an axe around the tire to move it in order get the garage door to open.... We also had to break the ice on the roofs of the house and Garage so the weight of it would not make the roof crash.. I still have this car a 1986 Mazda RX7..it's now a collectible vintage vehicle and it still runs great...
