The 69-year-old, who wrote dozens of books on a wide variety of paranormal topics, has sadly passed away.
Born in Florida on July 8th, 1950, Guiley grew up in Anchorage and Seattle. She achieved a degree in Communications at the University of Washington and later worked as a news journalist in New York.

Her pioneering research in to the world of the paranormal would see her pen countless articles for magazines and publications including FATE Magazine (of which she was the Executive Editor), The Journal of Abduction-Encounter Research and TAPS Paramagazine.

Guiley was also the author or co-author of more than 65 books, including several encyclopedias.
In addition to writing about paranormal topics, she also actively investigated UFOs, Bigfoot, ghosts, demons, angels, fairies and countless other unexplained phenomena.

Over the years she also trained and engaged in various forms of spirit contact.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph Redmiles.

Good on her. But the reality is that nothing she ever did addressed anything practically. You can't force paranormal on people.
