i agree... could be a slow shutter speed, or just some strange phenomenon occuring with the film. The red appears to hold the shape of the woman in the foreground.
Every time I see this picture the first thing that gets me is how it seems that the red mist seems to be wrapping around her head as it passes. It couldn’t be a slow shutter speed since all that would do is create a ghostly image that would look like a transparent version of her with a motion blur, not a bright red mist. It almost looks like a kind of lenses flair that accounts for most reddish obstructions like this but that only happens when a bright light source is just outside of frame and that would...
... mean that the figure would be reaching in from the side of the frame. Plus its night time in that pic and I don’t see any spotlights. It looks real… Or it could be expired film.
