An unusually clear video has been published showing the mysterious object descending above her home.
Colleen McCormack had been relaxing outside her home in Pembroke, Massachusetts at 9 p.m. earlier this week when she became aware of a peculiar object in the sky above.
Grabbing her phone, she recorded a short clip of the object descending through the clouds.
Resembling a dark, vertical cylinder with lights, the UFO seemed to be moving too slowly to be a piece of falling space debris or a meteorite and seemed to be under some semblance of intelligent control.
"It looked like it was on fire or something," McCormack told WFXT-TV.
"I have no idea what it could have been."
"My heart was pounding because I just looked up. I'm like oh god what is about to happen right now?"
"It was really quiet. You couldn't like really hear anything. That's why I was just like more confused. When stuff flies over all the time, you hear it."
The FAA declined to comment on the video but noted that there had been no reports of debris.
You can check out the footage as part of a news report about the sighting below.
NOMAD!  I just saw a story this week about similar shaped drones used, or will be, to monitor forest areas for fire outbreaks. They look like the following except the blades were internal and have adjustable fin steering. https://www.unmannedsystemstechnology.com/company/ascent-aerosystems/
I wish people who filmed UFO's and ghosts and other strange stuff would try to get up close to it on foot, bike or car, instead of just standing rooted to the spot saying "Wow what is that?" For example one sunny day on a bike ride in the country (Leicestershire, England) I once spotted a small whirlwind thing moving away from me across a field kicking up dust, so I got on my bike and pedalled furiously down some country lanes to intercept it where I estimated it'd cross a road about a mile away, but when I breathlessly arrived at the spot I couldn't see it..However, a bush about 20 yards away... People do this, such as in your personal story. But the reality is, the more information that is gathered, the less likely a paranormal explanation is needed. People can film something fall from the sky which is ambiguous at first, then upon inspecting they discover it's just a piece of satellite debris, etc. They then see no reason to report it as they've identified it as mundane. Cases are only interesting because they are ambiguous and lack identifiable data.Â
