Some people find it strange that Christmas here in Sweden is centered around Donald Duck. It's a tradition to watch Donald Duck and his friends between 3 pm and 4 pm on Christmas Eve. Most people have the hand-out of Christmas presents after that. The way that is done is that Santa Claus comes knocking on the door (the children's dad or a male relative dressed as Santa Claus) with his sack asking if there are any kind children, and then he hands out the gifts.

I love how these are considered "weird" to Americans who celebrate the virgin birth of the Son of Yhwh who was born in a barn and had wise men travel across the country to see him because a Star was in the sky. LOL

LOL Really? I didn't think there was just Americans represented there. It all depends on what your raised around. There are strange traditions in the US too. Celebrating Jesus' birth didn't originate in America either and yes, I do celebrate his birth and his sacrifice and I pray everyday that no one ever has to suffer like he did on the cross.

You are not alone in that weird tradition! Happy Holidays! Well, it's not weird to me just like others that have different beliefs. What's really weird to me is that people can't seem to accept each other as different individuals with different likes and dislikes or their confrontational attitude about such things. It makes no sense to me at all. Merry Christmas!!

Actually... if you think about it the Krampus kinda makes a bit of sense... After all.. Santa (Saint Nick) is a jolly, happy guy that loves children... How could he be so mean as to leave a lump of coal or totally ignore a child?... That goes to the 'bad guy' department of 'North Pole Inc.'... Run by the Krampus... (I have no idea if that is the origin or not.. but it's a good story!) And why are the Catalonians so interested in people going to the toilet?...
