It could be image blur of birds flying across the shot or perhaps hoaxed. Someone could have hung small toys from the trees creating an optical illusion making them appear larger in the sky. I'm prone to lean more towards hoaxed.

Hoax my foot. The elderly man who took the pic obviously captured something he never mentioned to anybody, only discovered after his death. It's not likely he created a hoax to fool people. Open up that narrow mind of yours.
