Uploader comment: This is my mums family portrait. If you look to the left of the picture. Its a figure of a woman who my mums family believes is my mums grandmother who died two months before this picture was taken. She died wearing a pinky peach dress and just beside my uncle freds head is a munted face which I believe is his twin that died in the womb. Believe me or not I dont care I know the truth

I did dark room processing photo, looks like processing chemicals.

I believe you; truth is always stranger than fiction, and even if this was caused by chemicals - who's to say the deceased didn't cause the aberrations to happen?

That sounds unrealistic a specter to spill chemicals to form that. Why not write on the photo instead???

I'm prone to side with Brian. Older photos are tricky. The way they were processed leaves a lot of room for imperfections to appear in the final image.
