  Lunar eclipse

Lunar eclipse

Uploader comment: One of a number of images I took during the eclipse, April 15. The copper color is caused by light from the Sun going through the earth's atmosphere and lighting up the Moon with a ring of 'sunset red'. The brighter star above the Moon is Spica, and over to the left and up is Mars. I'm hoping tio create either a montage or an animation of the other shots, which are zoomed in a bit more.. Sony Alpha 57 plus my old Minolta 70-300 zoom set at about 90, which is around 135mm equivalent... ISO 400, f6.3, 6 seconds.
