Uploader comment: Comparisons between an Orang Utan and one of the Myakka Skunk Ape photographs.

Image status: UNEXPLAINED The 'Myakka skunk ape' was photographed in 2000 by an anonymous woman in Florida, she believed at the time that the creature was an escaped orangutan however it is still unclear as to whether this was the case or not.

If that creature was that close when the pic was taken how did the camera guy get off without meating his unconsious side??

it was probably more scared of him then he was of it, most likely taken before the skunk ape split. too tall for an orang utan and the picture of the skunk ape is bipedal ( standing and most likely walking on its hind legs)

the eyes and nose of the orange utan are farther in, alot of primapes have simularites, this just may be a close relative. and large animals do seem to be scared of humans, like a moose for instance, they stand liek 7ft at the sholder, and rip threw brush. but if they catch a human scent, they run, although they could easily take a human down.

Ok as odd as this might sound, I saw the episode of this kids show on the paranormal, and so they set up a trap for this ape, and in the morning they found the tree where they put a hidden camera and that picture showed up.

its an orangutan as I said before, with much conviction might I add, theres blue around the mouth and the depressed eyes...

no the police received the photos, there's two of them, photographer unknown, in the second picture it's from a lower view, the thing doesn't move at all between pictures, the hoaxers put the leaves in it's mouth and in the second pic you can tell it's just stuck to the upper teeth....hoax hoax hoax.

I think that they match. The fist picture of the..-. thing scared me alittle. Probably the same monkey. Mabye it escaped from a zoo.

It looks kinda the same, but as I said before the one on the left just doesn't look that real. Like it has light bulbs for eyes.

the eyes are glowing cuz of the flash of the camera same thing happens when u flash light in a dog or cats eyes i also believe this is real
