Uploader comment: One of two photograph taken in 2000 by a woman who claimed to have encountered the creature at the edge of her back yard, the pictures were sent anonymously to the local Sheriff's department in Florida.

Image status: UNEXPLAINED The 'Myakka skunk ape' was photographed in 2000 by an anonymous woman in Florida, she believed at the time that the creature was an escaped orangutan however it is still unclear as to whether this was the case or not.

This photo is amazing. This looks to be legitimate to me. If it is a hoax it's a very ingenious one. There is even light reflected from the eyes!

I agree. And look at the mouth. You can see (or I think you can anyway), the bottom lip drooping much like a large primate.

in my opinion this cannot be a hoax, first of all the eyes reflect and for the later part you can see his gums teeth and lip droop. all in all if real, a very lucky shot.

ok but i didnt know any primape walked so straight up besides hmans, and its not hard to make glowing eyes like that in photoshop.

the eyes of this "ape" really creeped me out. by this you can tell that their is some truth to the story. :)
