Uploader comment: This is a close-up of the face of the Myakka Skunk Ape. Looks sort of like an Orangutan.

Image status: UNEXPLAINED The 'Myakka skunk ape' was photographed in 2000 by an anonymous woman in Florida, she believed at the time that the creature was an escaped orangutan however it is still unclear as to whether this was the case or not.

I find it unlikely that there'd be exactly the same amount of glow from the eyes in both pictures, taken from 2 different angles.

It's a picture propped up behind a house plant. You can see where the plant is casting shadows on the surface of the picture, which is reflecting the flash.

Definitely a primate, the grainy quality and fortunate / unfortunate reflection of the flash on the back of the eye gives it that mysterious look.
