Brown Lady of Raynam Hall
Image is believed to be in the public domain.

Uploader comment: The most famous ghost photograph of them all - the Brown Lady of Raynam Hall, England. It was taken by two photographers from Country Life magazine who were filming the Hall at the time, and observed the ghost "floating" down a staircase.

It looks like a woman with long hair. Very good photograph.

very good, very good ^^ why is it, you think, though, that her feet seem to fade off at the ankles, yet her head is visible (as much as it is)? i've always wondered why ghosts dont have feet. are feet not important?

I read a article about this photo, cause it is from the 1920's I think, and the photographers assistant said she saw like a mist on the stairs and yelled at him to take the pic, legendary.............
