Uploader comment: This photo was also taken at the Molly Brown House located in Colorado. A well known haunted house. You might have to adjust the bright to see the person standing in the shadows underneath the staircase. I have posted a closeup version of this photo in the gallery as well. There was not a "live" person standing there when this photo was taken. There are stories of spirits that roam the staircase and a so called "mad" butler has been said to be seen in a mirror located at the top of the staircase.

Before I post any opinions, can you tell us what type of camera you were using. We need an accessment.

I used a 1.3 mega pixel vivitar digital camera w/ 2X zoom. Just took random pics of the house as it was really quite interesting but never thought I would actually get something strange like this.

there are rings above the supposed ghosts head. I'm sorry, but it just don't seem real to me, even with the "mad butler" and other encounters

was there anything reflective under the stairs? are they open stairs? coz i'm sure a see the same face under each stair... unless there were triplets in the house.
