An unidentified animal that was captured on camera has left local residents and wildlife officials searching for answers.
The creature was sighted over two nights along Pueblo's Mohawk Road by a local resident who managed to record a short clip of it using her mobile phone.
The video shows a small, four-legged animal with a reddish/pink face.
The witness, Janay, also claimed that the creature had 'hissed' at her when she approached.
When the footage started circulating on social media, local news stations picked up on the story and before long there was a great deal of interest in determining what the animal could be.
Even Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) ended up getting involved in the debate.
"We think this animal might be a raccoon with mange," officials wrote.
"It's tough to be 100% sure, but the use of the front paws and the size makes us think it's a raccoon."
Locals have since been advised to call the service if they happen to see the animal again.
