Uploader comment: On 01/04/2012, me and my bother went to a native forest to take some photographs of orchid. When we entered the jungle and started talking the snaps, suddenly we saw a small red color snake, which was totally unfamiliar to us. We took some snaps of the snake to identify it. After reached home we went through many books and web sites and also asked the experts from our locality but we could not find any similar snake species, like the one, we saw. So we thought it may be a new species of snake and we should report it in this web site. We'll grateful to get the proper identification of the snake. The snake was found by us in reserve forest of Lakhimpur district, Assam, India.(I can provide some more pictures if needed)
