The footage was recorded by military personnel over the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Reportedly captured on thermal camera back in 2020, the video, which shows what appears to be a large disc-shaped object barely visible amongst heavy cloud cover, was recently published by investigative journalists Jeremy Corbell and George Knapp.
"This is the first time in history that military filmed footage of a disc-shaped UAP, designated as such by the military, has been captured on camera and released to the public," Corbell told Mail Online.
"It has implications that are huge."
The footage, viewable below, features several clips including the original raw footage as well as an enhanced version created by the US government.
According to Corbell and Knapp, internal documents concerning the object describe it as a 'disc' and claim that it was 'navigating' through the clouds.
The lack of any notable heat signature from the object adds to its anomalous nature.
"You do not see plumes of heat coming off this disc-shaped object," said Corbell.
"This was captured on a thermal sensor - it should have detected heat if any traditional propulsion was present. But there's nothing. That's one of the wildest aspects."
The pair have reportedly spent two years authenticating the footage.
"The source is legit. We know it's real," said Knapp.
"It was not supposed to be made public. But it should've been."
"There's depth of field," Corbell added. "There's relative distance. The shape is undeniable."
"And the movement? It's extraordinary. You're seeing it dip into clouds, then emerge and reverse direction. That's not an artifact. That's a real object in motion."
Take a look at 1:03 in the video. You can see the "thing" in the top center of the screen moving down and to the left, disappear, and then you see it reappear and moving to the right.
Fascinating. Technically it doesn't make a turn as you might think of a turn. Reviewing the video to ad nauseam I find the object disappears while moving in one direction then reappears in a different spot and moving in another direction. Let's start at the beginning. Look and keep looking from the very first frame of 'Video 2' (:19s) at the very top left center. See it here: (may need to look obliquely at screens) Couple frames later: See the movement now? It is moving down and to the left before it disappears. Got it? Now, about its disappearing, it doesn't disappear as a whole, It first b... [More]
crap photography, I never saw the sudden change in direction. and I see nothing in the video to gauge the size of the object with. And most of all, you cannot tell what it is or even what shape it is. very disappointing.
