The 35-year-old spent years exploiting a loophole in the system to get out of paying for a plane ticket.
While flying for free would seem like a pipe dream for most, one man - Tirone Alexander - managed to come up with an ingenious (and very illegal) way to get out of having to pay anything at all for his flights.
Between 2018 and 2024, he managed to fly free 120 times by misusing a system designed to allow flight attendants and pilots from other airlines to fly without having to buy a ticket.
Using knowledge he'd gained as an actual flight attendant many years earlier, Alexander falsified his information when checking in so that the system believed that he was entitled to fly for free.
Remarkably, he managed to get away with it for years because nobody had ever bothered to check.
"When filling out the online form, he claimed to have worked for seven different airlines and used approximately 30 different combinations of identification numbers and contract start dates," the prosecution said in relation to the court case.
In the end, Alexander was found guilty on four counts of wire fraud and also on one count of accessing a restricted area.
While he has yet to be sentenced, he could be facing a lengthy term in prison.
