A new ring discovered around the planet Saturn is the largest known planetary ring in the solar system, it is in fact so large that if it were visible from the Earth it would appear twice the width of the full moon.
A newly discovered, dark ring around Saturn is the largest known planetary ring in the solar system, a new study says. Until now, that title of largest planetary ring belonged to Saturn's E ring, which orbits Saturn at a distance of about 400,000 miles (640,000 kilometers).

It looks really massive and beautiful. If only we had the technology to see it in our skies magnified or visit it via spaceship.

Well I looked at some numbers and it seems that the diameter of this ring is much bigger then the Sun. I'm surprised why the ring wasen't compared with the Sun, I mean, if the diameter is even near or bigger then the sun, then it is pretty interesting to know isnt it?
