"Hobbit" fossil debates continues

New research relating to the ongoing debate over the "hobbit" skeleton Homo floresiensis has concluded that the skull and bones are outside the normal size range for modern humans and that therefore it is a genuine new species.
When her miniature skull and tiny skeleton were revealed publicly for the first time in 2004, scientists expressed their amazement that such a small species of human could have existed on the island of Flores in Indonesia.

I'm sorry but ONE skeleton would not constitute a a new race, though I'm no geologist, or human biologist. That one skeleton could be someone from a small family, and then developed dwarfism or other types of deceases... I'm sorry but ONE skeleton would not constitute a a new race, .... . Though the odd thing about this occurance is that it was in fact soley this one skeleton that was there. ... G3N0M3 You're right, it could be cause from disease or inherent genetic factors, but they found more than one and still haven't resolved the debate on it... wiki: Homo floresiensis "Parts of seven other individuals (LB3–LB9; the most complete is LB6), all diminutive, have been recovered..." ---- One more thing, just to note, brain or skull size does not determine intelligence...
