Things aren't looking too promising for the Phoenix Lander as several attempts to listen for signs that it is still working have failed.
The probe has been inactive since November 2008 and it is considered unlikely that it has survived the long cold of the Martian winter. NASA haven't quite given up hope yet though and will continue efforts to revive the spacecraft in the near future.
The first attempts to listen for beeps of life from NASA's long-frozen Phoenix Mars Lander have found only silence, though scientists aren't holding their breath.
