God no longer male, church rules

By T.K. Randall

A new order of service has generated significant controversy by rendering God genderless.
The change made by the Scottish Episcopal Church involves the removal of all references to God as male such as "him" and "lord" in order to emphasise that God is "beyond human gender".
Episcopalian bishops have approved the introduction of more "inclusive" language, which deliberately removes references suggesting that God is of male gender.

Yes, but just because some pseudo-Christians do that, doesn't make it anymore right. I am all for intellectual conversations, but not for bashing - no matter which side they are on. I frankly think it's absurd that Christians go around warning people of hell and how I will suffer. I am not in any one side alone. I take science for what it is and my personal experiences alone is what led me to be a follower of God. Nonetheless, I always try to keep an open mind about other religions and even the existence of scientific laws alone. I think, ultimately, logic and reasoning should lead us to what ... [More]

here is a quote; Liturgical reformers contend that such reimaging is easily accommodated within a traditional Jewish framework. After all, it is argued, the sages insisted that God has no body and is beyond the categories of male and female, incorporating both but limited by neither. http://www.leaderu.com/ftissues/ft9606/articles/berke.html It is the realm of "Ain Soph Aur", or divine outside of manifestation where YHWH ceases to have gender. The names of god are specifically chosen to convey this meaning. The translation into Greek and Latin seems to have lost much of the subtly embodied in ... [More]

The WH is in the image of YH making the force YHWH. Masculine and feminine. That is not saying that YH is masculine any more than WH is feminine, but two forces exist in all of creation. That sounds good, doesn't it? You do have 2 equal sides to the brain, but only 1 side controls the Voice. If that area of the brain is injured, the other side cannot take over speech; the left speaks for the right. The right thinks for the left. We were created in the image of YeHoWaH. Where is such teaching coming from? Care to point to the source, please? It was always understood that IHWH/YAHWEH is a set of... [More]

Where is such teaching coming from? Care to point to the source, please? It was always understood that IHWH/YAHWEH is a set of 4 Elements (Fire, Water, Earth and Air) of which this world was considered created; this is exactly what makes YHWH a Creator. If this set of 4 elements can have distinctive sexual organs, then what is left from the entire Torah??? Well, sorry to blow all your myths, there was a Yahwe long before there was an identifiable Jewish tribe, a tribal weather god of some nomadic Bedouins. He got promoted to creator quite a while later.

Well, sorry to blow all your myths, there was a Yahwe long before there was an identifiable Jewish tribe, a tribal weather god of some nomadic Bedouins. He got promoted to creator quite a while later. This is a very reasonable point, YHWH started out as a male storm god who was promoted when the deal he made with the tribe of Israel came good. In the evolved form of YHWH, Marabod is indeed right in saying that the name is a compound glyph for the four elements, but with an evolutionary process from fire to earth - so it conveys creation through the four elements. In the Jewish Kabala the physi... [More]

What do you mean, Isnt Any Better? I meant to say that they are not any closer to God, or anymore "saved" (in their own words) than the rest of the people.

In the evolved form of YHWH, Marabod is indeed right in saying that the name is a compound glyph for the four elements, but with an evolutionary process from fire to earth - so it conveys creation through the four elements. In the Jewish Kabala the physical structure of the universe is the feminine side of YHWH, which is activated by the Masculine energy which flows into the feminine structure. As such JHWH is implicitly neither male or female, and be... [More]

In slightly more simplistic terms, YHWH is supposed to be equally welcome in both, male and female toilets, while Jesus is only allowed to the male one If the aforesaid are considered Kosher.

If the aforesaid are considered Kosher. hahahaha! A hidden camera may precipitate the definition of that! If the Rabbis bless them by their presence, then they are!
