Conceptually debatable, you bet. Wouldn't have it any other way. Experientially debatable, not really. Can't be measured. (yet) For instance; conceptually, I might respond that "deities" to them, as concerns lightning and rain, were how they described energy and attempted a primitive understanding of it. And we might, even now, use the concept of humanizing a form of energy or pattern in nature as an act of God or response from some intelligent entity to convey a point to a listener or reader. The problem with the Reductionist argument is that is no longer can be applied to Psychiatry....we have been there and done that...It simply did not work out...the Reductionist models fail when it comes to consciousness and miserably...in relation to practical applications.... Reductionist models are simply irrelevant today in relation to addressing consciousness....

Exactly reductionist models look down makeing higher ordered concepts invisable. If you walk with your head down how are suposed to know that there are clouds or stars?
