A woman who had been confined to a weelchair for 23 years was allegedly cured by a British faith healer.
A video of Delia Knox standing up during her visit to a faith healer has become a hit on Youtube with over 200,000 views. "I am in awe at seeing the power of God not just in my life but all over the world as a result of this miracle", she said.
She was paralysed from the waist down when a drink driver ploughed into her car on Christmas Day in 1987. Then this year, during a visit to a British spiritual healer, Delia Knox suddenly stood up and walked. And the 46-year-old has been walking ever since.

You guys are so BAD!! But funny! Someone pointed out that she had heels on after being in a wheel chair for 23 years, good catch. I am a woman who was confined to a wheel chair after a bad car crash too. I was in one full time for about a year and when I started my physical therapy it was hell because I had not stood on my own legs for so long and they were pretty much useless! There is no way this woman stood and walked after 23 years of sitting! And you guys called it right, her legs are just to "chubby" for someone who sat in a chair that long. I have a freind who has been in a wheel chair ... [More]

A common misconception is that "nerves don't heal". Peripheral nerves, that is those outside of the central nervous system (CNS), do heal--In fact, even in humans they heal pretty well (much better in some other animals). The nerves are able to do this by "sniffing" out certain spots on neuromuscular junctions which contain laminins in the basal lamina of muscular sheath. A kind of "X marks the spot" deal. If this woman did something like injure the sciatic nerve or saphenous nerve before it innervates lower extremity musculature, its entirely possible she was "paralyzed" for a time while the ... Copasetic, I am impressed with your knowledge of MS, but we are talking about a supposed miracle done by the Christian God. Why would God cure her and not my friends. I am sure how you said she was "cured" is what happened. I just get tired of people who take advantage of people who are disabled to promote their religion or a supposed cure which has no scientific bases.

Copasetic, I am impressed with your knowledge of MS, My response to this and your PM; No, I'm a medical student and nerves are one of the first things you study in medical school. Followed by diseases of nerves. MS, Myotonia congenita, Myasthenia gravis, Leukodystrophies, Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease, etc are pretty big topics during that block. but we are talking about a supposed miracle done by the Christian God. I'm not saying all these faith healers are frauds or real but my current pastor who was on oxygen from about 35 years of smoking in his younger years was "healed" at a Benny Hinn sermon. Now no problems at all, his doctor can't explain it either. actually uses him as a question to all of his new doctors, gives them his old medical records and has them try and explain why this man is even still alive. So far no medical answer.
