Conspiracy theorists believe that Biden died five years ago and even Trump seems to be in on the idea.
Conspiracy theories have been coming thick and fast in recent years, increasingly blurring the line between far-fetched speculation and unsettling reality - especially in the realm of politics.
This latest theory, which is perhaps one of the strangest we've heard to date, comes courtesy - not only of unnamed conspiracy theorists on social media - but of the President of the United States himself - who made the decision to share the conspiracy on his Truth Social platform.
The post suggests that Joe Biden - who ended his tenure in the White House earlier this year - actually died back in 2020 and was replaced with some sort of clone or doppleganger.
The original post describes this as a "robotic engineered soulless mindless entity".
The bizarre conspiracy theory has gained some serious traction since Trump shared it with his 10 million followers, leading to raised eyebrows and condemnation among his political rivals.
It has also been picked up by several major news outlets across the world.
While the claim itself is obviously nonsense, it does demonstrate just how easily conspiracies can be shared around these days and how even the highest office in the land can get itself involved.
Exactly why Trump reposted the theory on his Truth Social page remains unclear.
