A woman who was thought to have had no chance of recovery was seemingly cured by a strong jolt on the road.
According to reports, the 50-year-old - who hails from Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh, India - had taken seriously ill at home and was rushed to hospital.

Sadly, doctors were unable to treat her condition and she ended up essentially brain dead.

After a time, it became apparent that she was never going to recover - she was unable to breathe unassisted and her brain showed no signs of conscious activity.

Her husband had warned family members that they should prepare for the worst and the decision was made to discharge her from hospital so that she could spend her remaining days at home.

But then, something very strange happened.
While she was being transported to her home in the back of an ambulance, the vehicle went over a large pothole, causing a sudden jerk which jolted everything and everyone inside.

Incredibly, this jolt seemed to have had a profound impact, as within seconds the woman's husband noticed that she had started breathing on her own, prompting a return to the hospital.

Amazingly, she went on to make a full recovery and was able to return home two weeks later.

According to neurosurgeon Dr Rakesh Singh, the woman had been completely unresponsive prior to the incident with the pothole.

Exactly how this had managed to revive her brain functions remains a total mystery.

I think it's a good possibility that they are experimenting with pothole shock therapy. And like you said the only way they can perfect the technique is to have as many patience as possible. I'll bet those roads riding a bike must just tear up your balls, I used to do a lot of off-road riding in the mountains, and I had to buy a special seat because it hurt me cause I was running trails not roads but a new seat fix the problem pretty much. Thanks for the laugh

We think so, we don't know so. We know a lot, but also very little.

Haha, yeah. Fortunately I'd fathered my children before the potholes reached their current state ?

Yes, you're certainly right. Someone that is truly brain dead cannot awake. So it's obvious that in this situation, she was in a deep coma and somehow she was jarred back into consciousness.

Damn, good thing isn't it?

Unfortunately, once the brain stem stops responding, the body can no longer transfer oxygen, and the brain begins to deteriorate immediately. To date there has not been a single Scientology identified case where someone suffered brain death, and returned to the living. In all cases where it appeared, someone returned, they were actually in a very, very deep coma, and the electrical activity in the brain had never ceased functioning.

I guess so, I mean kids are a blessing, but they're also the gift that keeps on taking ?

Sounds like the result of a night out spent with Jim Beam, Jack Daniels and Captain Morgan. A night with those reprobates can leave you with decreased brain activity, although the simple cure is a bacon & fried egg sandwich washed down with strong coffee, followed by monster energy drinks as required

Yeah, my children can certainly be a pain in the ass, I believe that without them, our lives are impossible, and they can never be full.

Potholes are the best medicine. Doctors should prescribe everyone a daily dose of a potholes. Especially because the Earth is full of brain-dead individuals.
