Is it just me or does this look like a Mon-calamari from Star Wars? But still a very interesting skull

It looks like one of those mixed breed dogs, a chuowaweiler.

It's the Skull of a Pug dog. See here: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Pug_skull.jpg

weird. My pug has a pretty face

Definatly a dog. Judging by the teeth and muzzle, I'd say an english bulldog or another "pug nosed" breed.

It's a brachycephalic dog skull, specifically that of a chihuahua.

the teeth do not look right for any kind of dog that i know of. it is mammalian though, possibly some bizarre rodent? some kind of size reference would help.

Definitely not a bulldog skull (see one at http://www.boneclones.com/BC-128.htm). The dentition and cranium looks all wrong for any canine but I guess it could be some sort of miniature monstrosity. Size is definitly important in this case.

It's maybe a shitzu (sp?) skull, or other flat faced mongrel. Nothing impressive.

So annoying. In one picture it showed part of the skull was broken. Now it is not. And, how did you get the skull? I doubt you even remember you posted these pictures, though.

Looks like it may be a bulldog or pug skull, hard to judge the size.

You should bring it to a paleotologist or a vet :\
