Uploader comment: Earlier this summer, my wife, my two boys and I went to Gettysburg. We toured the battlefield via bus, and then went back to get a closer look at Devils Den. We were looking at some scenes of famous pictures when we found the spot of the "staged dead sharpshooter" picture. While my children walked around the spot I took a picture. Later, when we got home to look at our pictures, I noticed what I at first thought was a statue in the background. I thought to myself that I didn't remember a statue and when I looked closer I realized that it wasn't. To me it appears to be a walking soldier with a rifle laying over his soldier. When you blow the picture up large much of it gets too grainy to see, but other parts appear; specifically a face and fingers around the gun.

Maybe you need to outline it so the blind people can see it! I can see the form of a solider..it looks as if his arms are crossed, and he has on a hat!

let me start by clarifying..."close-up" is not the same as "cropped image"!! This is NOT a "close-up"! It is merely cropped, and it sucks to try and squint at this. By the way...there is nothing in this photograph that is unusual. It is foliage.

Definately real. Those trees and that rock are in no way photoshopped.

If none of you ever believe in ghosts.....then go visit Gettysburg, Pa. Civil War battlefield. We've seen some of the weirdest sites in the world there, things we can't explain,. marching soldiers, standing guards you can see through. people calling for help, crying for their Sargents or Mothers, painful crys. Little Round Top is the scariest place of all, you can hear whispers, crys, calls out and I tripped over a musket rifle then it vanished..
