can't see this one as real. Animals can tell when these kinds of things are near, and they don't tend to take kindly to them, their known for freaking out when something like that comes around. Animals don't like the deceased. Though it is a creepy picture.

Having taken pictures myself that looked like cigarette smoke when I know darn well that there was no smoke or mist present at the time, I am willing to give this one the benefit of the doubt.

I see a male child stroking the dogs back and another entity in almost alien like formation. Perception9 Researcher EB

Looks like the pooch just shook off all the flea powder that was applied before the picture was taken. Interesting pattern, good thing the breeze was blowing away from the camera! Notice the dog had sense enough to face into the wind, lol.

Looks like an angel behind the dog... Do you see? I looked and first thing I saw is an angel leaning over the dog... Don't know if it is real though. Can't trust anything these days...

There is a horses face just behind the dogs face. This photo has everything. I also see a skull in the smoke.

This is most likely breath in cold air. Always hold your breath when taking pictures when it's chilly out, especially at night.

I don't see anything except cigarete smoke.

I see the woman petting the dog and two more spirits. One by the elbow area of the woman and another behind her, they look like children. What a beautiful picture!!!

Beautiful dog, but he should lay off the Kibbles and Bits

Luv the dog - he look so like his wolf ancestors.. Anyway, to the 'mist'; this sadly looks nothing more than condensing breath caught by the camera flash. Its amazing how many people fool themselves; one guy once sent me around 400 photos of such 'anomalies' taken at his home in London - curiously enough all taken during winter nights!

I believe this not to be smoke, and I do see a woman or person patting the dog and leaning over doing so like in a cuddling manner. It just does not look like the types of things eg smoke fog breath etc. Would like to hear from person who took photo.

It kinda looks like a woman about to pounce on the dog, and to the side, you can kinda see a canine like leg..It's odd..Not sure if it's a fake or not, though..

I think you need to A: Stop smoking and taking pictures at the same time B: Clean your camera lense. or C: Spend less time on photoshop.

I usually sit on the fence untill I'm sure I know in my heart that something is real; but in this case I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that I believe it to be fake. Not necessarily intentional, but too much has been read into what looks like a natural occurance due to the environment, possible cigarette smoke, time of day etc. Sorry Josiah, I just don't see what you see. It would have been nice, sadly not in this case however.

... that even Death cannot keep her from returning, to be by his side. I too, have loved pets with such intensity as this. I thank the poster of this image.

Some may scoff and claim any manner of justification for the profound image that was captured above, but as for myself,I am deeply moved by what I have just seen. Even if there was a mist during the time this image was captured, the outline of a female - form, gently caressing this shepard - dog, is incredibly clear and totally profound. It leaves me in a state of awe and appreciation, for both dog and entity. It is also somehow rather sad. The love of a woman so strong for this animal, (or any animal), ...

Did the dog have any prior owner that may have died?

Hahahah I was going to say the same thing. Dogs got some monster gas!
Comment icon #11 Posted by theghost_and_thedarkness on 30 June, 2005, 3:23
I think the dog needs some GasX. No, really, I don't know about this picture, it doesn't seem real to me, but I could be wrong.

Looks like the two are having a nice time.

To me a shape is caressing the dogs side, lovingly. OR: these new digital cameras can detect methan gas being emitted where we can't see it.

LOL wolf woman that is a good story !!

The limited amount of green grass on the ground shows me that this was taken in early spring when it is cold at night and you often see your breath. People don't realize it's happening and the flash illuminates it and makes eerie effects.
