Uploader comment: My grandpa recently passed and my brother and i found a whole bunch of his old photos. most were pretty uninteresting, but my little brother noticed in this picture what looks like a little girl in the bottom left corner. we are now looking at iall/i of the pictures much closer.

interesting. I can see how it might just be the coloring on the building and the bush but then it is pretty clear. I likes.

This is an amazing capture. Copyright this and send it in to the historic sies as well as the newspaper. I am sure there are people willing to help find out history information on this for you and remember never sell unless the others persons heart is in it.

I have to say this is one of the more authentic pictures I have seen. Very intriguing, would love to know the history of the building and area.

VERY interesting picture. One of the best on the site & I'd say has as good of a chance at being authentic as any that I've saw.

I looked at this picture for a good 10-15 minutes, and I finally decided its real. Its just a feeling.

awsome picture wow!!!
Comment icon #28 Posted by fairyfair on 21 March, 2006, 21:13
It appears to be a genuine pic. I can see many other non physicals standing and sitting around the building. This girl obviously stood out because SHE wanted to be seen.

I SOOOOOOO want to spend a night in there!
Comment icon #26 Posted by genevieve on 3 January, 2006, 23:52
Is that the same girl that was standing on the staircase in the building that was on fire?
Comment icon #25 Posted by rickenbacker on 20 November, 2005, 17:03
It's not doctored, it's just a slow shutter speed and a little girl who wouldn't stand still.
Comment icon #24 Posted by deeznutz on 16 November, 2005, 3:30
I can't find anything doctored about this, but without the original it is hard to tell. it creeps me out though.

Looks real to me.

i still think it looks real and its a gorgeous photo!
Comment icon #21 Posted by whitewitch on 11 June, 2005, 22:08
probably just that, a little girl. (ie not a ghost). Pictures taken in those days often look like this. My great grandad took photos and developed them himself, and forged many impossible pics, such as himself playing cards with himself.

Agreed... tbibera could be accurate in the statement. Most ghosts have reasons as to why they are still here or that in some cases, they don't know that are dead. Some cases state that a ghost or spirit may still think they are still living and continue on where they once lived. In either case, I believe it to be real... because of the age of the photo and the quality.

This is a wonderful photo-maybe on this same piece of property there used to be a residential home? maybe the girl's ghost is there because she refused to move on, and that's where she stays?

Your not alone ThreePlusTuesday. I love old buildings like that too. And old cemeterys. Not to mention taking pictures of them. :)
Comment icon #13 Posted by sourpatchkid on 21 March, 2005, 3:46
pretty cool.

This is a really cool photo I agree, But this photo does look similiar too another on this site. The other is a picture that shows a girl standing on the stairwell of an old building, And this building looks really like that one but from a different angle.

Very cool and very REAL pic... The best I have seen on this site infact! Keep searching those old photos
Comment icon #10 Posted by iseedeadppl on 12 March, 2005, 4:00
I honestly think that this photo and the girl in the fire is the 2 best ghost pictures on this site... Very cool

SHE ISNT POSING, ghosts look at humans , and she is looking at the person taking the photo...
Comment icon #8 Posted by howdydoo on 9 March, 2005, 1:25
Except for the little girl looking like she's posing for the picture, I think it's a great picture. I just don't know...do ghosts pose for pictures? Could it possibly be a double-exposure thingy? (I have no photography knowledge.)

Awesome pic! Let us know if you find out any history on the girl or what may have happened to her.
Comment icon #6 Posted by threeplustuesday on 5 March, 2005, 9:31
That's frickin' awesome. The building, not the girl. I adore decrepit old buildings for some reason. Does that make me creepy?
Comment icon #5 Posted by captainzaggis on 5 March, 2005, 2:49
It is certainly an interesting picture. Most faked pictures from the same time period were usually more blatant about the ghost. This is a very subtle one. As for the bricked up window, it's done sometimes if a building is divided into smaller offices, and the wall happens to be placed along the centerline of the window. Plus it could also have been done as a security thing to keep vandals, and squatters from getting in.
Comment icon #4 Posted by iseedeadppl on 4 March, 2005, 21:49
is this still in your family? this building? If so many you can get someone to investigate it
Comment icon #3 Posted by iseedeadppl on 4 March, 2005, 21:48
well if its real then I applause !
Comment icon #2 Posted by slightlyinformed on 4 March, 2005, 1:18
ok for one it's not a house i was told it's a commercial building of some kind. He bought a piece of property way back in i believe the twenty's. There were several run down buildings on the property that he photogrphed. there were no houses, just this factory thing and some kind of store house that can be seen behind it to the left. I'm trying to figure out what makes people brick up windows???
Comment icon #1 Posted by iseedeadppl on 4 March, 2005, 0:00
it is a little girl , very nice! But how authentic is this photo? Also why would your granpa take a picture of an old rotten house? When I zoomed in I was stunned at how clear you can see the girls face
