Is Europa our best chance for finding life ?

This, being all based on the assumption that this solar system is 100% void of intelligent beings (beside ourselves) that for good reason, may not want to be found (a glance at our neighbouring planets reveals that something unpleasant has happened over the billions of years its been around). Well, unless it looks like a rock or a pile of sand we should be able to identify it by its complexity if nothing else. I would suspect any alien life would fall into either microbial, plant or animal definitions, given a lot of latitude.

Maybe there's life that thrives in radiation

I would wager that life that evolved on Mars would be radically different to what we see down here.Life as we know it exists on Earth, life anywhere else will be different in a varying number of ways. I'd wager the opposite. I reckon the fundamental basis for all life on Earth will develop on other similair planets, in which Mars at one point was very much like. There's really not much reason for life to develop radically different to what it is like on Earth (we are talking fundamentally here not 4 legs 1 head, 2 eyes etc specifics).

In my opinion, our best chance for finding intelligent life equal to or greater than humans, is to build a starship capable of warp drive, or some propulsion system that is very close to that speed. If we don't, then it's going to take us Humans a very long time to visit those planets that are many, many, light-years away. I have faith that we'll find stuff like bacteria close to home, but I doubt we'll be finding intelligent complex life-forms unless we journey far into the cosmos light-years away from Earth. In my opinion, I think it is possible to find "Human" type life forms on other planets. With the billions and billions of stars out there, there must/has to be one planet just like ours. Think about it if it was NOT possible that another planet could be like ours, then we would not even exist, as then it would not be possible for our planet as well.
