Archaeologists have discovered a second stone circle only a mile from Stonehenge, the prehistoric circle named "Bluehenge" would have consisted of 27 large blue stones which are now missing from the site.
Archaeologists have discovered Stonehenge's little sister - just a mile from the famous monument. The prehistoric circle, unearthed in secret over the summer, is one of the most important prehistoric finds in decades.

How can they discover it if the stones are missing, its not there? And only a mile away? You would think someone would have noticed by now!

How can they discover it if the stones are missing, its not there? And only a mile away? You would think someone would have noticed by now! All that remains of the 60ft wide Bluehenge are the holes of 27 giant stones set on a ramped mount. Chips of blue stone found in the holes appear to be identical to the blue stones used in Stonehenge.Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-1217752/Henge-stones-Unearthed-site-monuments-little-sister.html#ixzz0T3vP7nLA From the article on MailOnline.

soooooooo......how did no one notice this before? and why is a space where giant rocks used to be so important? i got a feeling we are going to get some pretty absurd "theories" about all this. just like the original stonehenge.

How do they know they're blue if they're not there?
