Ancient language mystery deepens

Mystery surrounds a series of drawings and symbols on a Pictish tablet that could be an ancient language.
Some experts believe the symbols represent words rather than being simply drawings and that they have linguistic meaning however others have cast doubt on this analysis.
A linguistic mystery has arisen surrounding symbol-inscribed stones in Scotland that predate the formation of the country itself. The stones are believed to have been carved by members of an ancient people known as the Picts, who thrived in what is now Scotland from the 4th to the 9th Centuries.

Intresting read,iv always wondered what happened to all the tribes in britain and with them thier lost lauguages and cultures. I thinks in the end the Picts joined the gaelics, so the rest of the tribes and factions in the Britsih isles must of been killed of by some foriengn army (romans, normans ect...)
