Researchers have warned that the Arctic could be completely free of ice due to global warming as early as 2030.
The amount of ice coverage in the Arctic during the 'melt season' has been at a record low for the last three years running indicating a steady decline that could render the area completely ice free by as early as 2030.
Last week, at the end of the spring and summer "melt season" in the Arctic, sea ice covered 1. 84 million square miles, the University of Colorado's National Snow and Ice Data Center said in an annual report.

Unlike relying on models to predict the future and try to assert those assumptions are evidence, historical evidence has shown that Arctic ice melts have happened in the (relatively)recent past and the world didn't end. You do know that models use historical data as their basis, right? Who has claimed that the world will end?

Again different continental configuration so not relevant to the current discussion Br Cornelius it is relevant. because you only want to talk about the last 250,000 years and the last 100 years when it comes to climate - even though earth as a history of 4.2 billion years. even if the continents where configured different. they'll be configured different in the future, so if we cant talk about the past because of the different configuration we also cant talk about the future either. future configuration. and has for the earth having no polar ice caps for the majority of the time, its common k...
