Iran have successfully launched a capsule capable of carrying animals as part of their space program.
The move is a concern to western powers due to the fear that Iran could develop nuclear missiles however Iran insists that their space and nuclear programs are aimed squarely at improving communications technology and generating energy.
Iran says it has successfully launched a rocket capable of carrying animals into orbit as it presses ahead with a space program that Western powers fear could be used to develop nuclear missile capability.

wasp i guess what i cant understand is how a person and the equipment to keep him alive for even an hour in space can be lighter than a nuke warhead.

wasp i guess what i cant understand is how a person and the equipment to keep him alive for even an hour in space can be lighter than a nuke warhead. No one ever said it is. I said that Iran does not have an ICBM capability. I also said that a small satellite will weigh less than a nuclear warhead. Persia's link is difficult to follow (translation issues or deliberately vague propaganda, I'm not sure which) but it seems that the Iranians are not talking about putting a man in orbit, rather they are talking about a sub-orbital flight and they are 5 years away from even that. The US made two suc... [More]

then this is a lie. Iran launches life capsule into orbit Western powers fear technology could be used for weapons Simple logic isn't your strong point is it? That sentence isn't even inconsistent with what I've posted. It really isn't difficult: For a rocket to be a weapon it does not a nuclear warhead (have you heard of the V2 or SCUD?). A nuclear warhead does not need to be launched on an ICBM. (Did you not understand my points about SRBMs, MRBMs and IRBMs?) also i dont believe they need an icbm to hit isreal. their announced target. Who said they needed an ICBM to hit Israel? You seem to b... [More]

Waspie-dwarf you talk utter nonsense. The payload of a dirty bomb can be much lighter than a satellite. Iran doesn't have nukes....but it does have a very cabable chemical /biological science infrastructure. And you're talking utter sense here? What in the world happened to this thread???
