Iran builds "flying saucer"

Iran has built an unusual new craft that has been described as "the world's first flying saucer".
Named the Zohal the unmanned vehicle is designed for aerial imaging but can be used for other things too. At the moment it isn't clear what the Zohal looks like however reports claiming it is capable of flying indoors suggest it is quite small.
It's not clear how far or how high it can fly – or even how big it is and what makes it take off. But an aircraft created by scientists in Iran is, they claim, the world’s first flying saucer. Called the Zohal - or Saturn in English - it said the unmanned spaceship is designed for 'aerial imaging' but added it can be used for 'various missions'.

lol is all I have to say to this. As stated above, Iran doesn't have the capabilities of building or mass producing anything, let alone this. I could see that they possibly built a UAV, like the story said but, again I'm doubting it is of anything to raise an eyebrow about. Why not ??? I bought my kids an RC UFO last Xmas that flies and can manouvre ..all theyd need was to add a HD camera to it & youve got a surveillance craft

Well that 2500 year old civilization just figured out how to build what we Americans been doing as hobby for the past decade. And ours can fly indoors and has auto pilot.

UFO-shaped, small enough to fly indoors, made for aerial imaging... They built a Sikorsky Cypher UAV? Considering that already exists, this doesn't seem like a huge deal.

also canada cant claim it if it was british engineers working on it. So the U.S. can't claim anything they invented as US due to the fact the nation was built on immigrants there for nothing is American ingenuity Example: the United States did not invent the H bomb but Germany did right?

a couple of points to consider: *Iran buys planes from elsewhere. it can't maunfacture it's own aircraft. how has it suddenly made a quantum leap from no planes to making flying discs? *the article is referring to an unmanned drone much like the US ones. there is no religion higher than truth

I am still laughing at Iran's announcement. I bet you this was not meant for International Announcement, but as a internal announcement ment to boost morality of Iranians. To keep the illusion that they are the #1 nation in the world.
