You know. . .that'd be totally awesome. I could make all kinds of rude gestures to people and they'd never know. It'd be my own private little joke. It'd come in really handy when your boss is getting on your nerves or something. . .go up and slap them with your phantom hand. They might not feel it, but it'd relieve loads of stress on you. That's a really good idea, if everyone had a phantom hand, the world might be a calmer place.

That's a really good idea, if everyone had a phantom hand, the world might be a calmer place. And I could scratch my butt all day long and no one would know it

Yeah this is a common occurrence in people with missing bits on their body. Their brain still sometimes thinks that the limb is there, and sometimes 'feels' sensations (i.e. pain) coming from the non-existent location. I can't remember where I saw or read about it, but scientists did at one point do an experiment to trigger the parts of the brain that register sensations in different limbs, specifically targeting, for example, the left leg if it was missing. "I assume it was a compliment because my joke was so bad that it was funny" "And if you look closely, then you'll see that he responded with the same kind of lame joke which makes it even funnier"

It was for me... "I assume it was a compliment because my joke was so bad that it was funny" "And if you look closely, then you'll see that he responded with the same kind of lame joke which makes it even funnier" Quite true.

"I assume it was a compliment because my joke was so bad that it was funny" "And if you look closely, then you'll see that he responded with the same kind of lame joke which makes it even funnier" Exactly right, excellent deductive reasoning, as I was definitely unclear in my post to who was the recepient of my response joke lol. Resonance posted while I was in process of responding originally lol.
