A wake from the boat, it looks just like any other moving boat, photograhed from above. Yep, I'd second that.

It looks like a Speed Boat Yep, that seems like a safe bet to me! there's even visible froth from the motor propeller!

The Telegraph article states that "I couldn't believe it. It's just like the deions of Nessie." and it says "beneath the surface of the water." 1. Where does it say the security guard didn't mean the object on the left (That looks more like the Nessie we know and love than a boat does") 2. The boat is clearly ontop of the water. Where as the object on the left looks like it is beneath the water.

I love how the first couple pages are filled with "omg u guyz r soo stoopid its a boat duhh" The image to the left is questionable, it certainly has the shape, and the little object next to it could be a baby (?). Now that would be cool. You said what I was thinking. Interesting....Nessie?? Who knows??

It's probably the Jacobean Queen. I've heard that apparently it sails on the loch on a fairly regular basis...
