Japanese fish trawler sunk by giant jellyfish

A 10-ton fishing boat capsized off the coast of Japan after the crew attempted to haul a net filled with giant jellyfish on board. The area has been inundated with monster jellyfish weighing up to 200kg and measuring up to 2m in length.
A 10-ton fishing boat has been sunk by gigantic jellyfish off eastern Japan. The trawler, the Diasan Shinsho-maru, capsized off Chiba`as its three-man crew was trying to haul in a net containing dozens of huge Nomura's jellyfish.

the thought of processed jellyfish patties makes me want to hurl... thanks for that appetizing thought, silver Hmm...sounds appetizing to me. McDonalds makes everything taste better!! Mmmm.... :lol:

The article does not say they were pulling them in as food, so I'm thinking they caught them accidentally and were trying to get rid of them. Good thing no one fell into the area with the net full of jellyfish. Really a 10 ton boat is not terribly big anyway. That guy would've been in a world of hurt!

I wonder if they can be kept as pets....a large swimming pool perhaps i want one!
